No Fault Insurance

New York No Fault Benefits Entitle Accident
Victims to Chiropractic Care

No fault insurance is a type of car insurance in which an insurance provider covers damage occurred during an accident, regardless of who was at fault. This means that if you are a victim of a car accident but the other driver does not hold adequate car insurance, then your insurance company will pay for your medical treatment without holding you at fault for the accident. This eliminates the need to hassle with another party’s insurance company in order to be reimbursed for expenses. Your own insurance company will cover these expenses without affecting your premium or driving record. No fault insurance is currently in place in 12 states, including New York.

Queens Personal Injury Care

No fault insurance covers bodily injury and associated medical bills. Traditionally, insurance policies allow you to take out liability coverage to pay for bodily injury claims from anyone injured in an accident in which you have been deemed at fault. With no fault insurance, this bodily injury coverage also includes you – and it does not matter whether you are at fault or not for the accident. One of the benefits of no fault insurance is that any bodily injury claims, including claims that cover your own medical care, will be paid quickly. You do not need to wait for another insurance company to reimburse you for bills, struggle with high out-of-pocket expenses, or worse, be forced to sue another driver for the medical bill reimbursement to which you are entitled.

The Personal Injury Protection (PIP) component to no-fault car insurance coverage means that not only are your medical bills paid, but you are also covered for any additional losses incurred due to your medical care. For example, if you are injured or suffering from chronic pain and unable to work, the PIP component of your no-fault insurance plan will help cover these losses.

No fault benefits mean that you can begin receiving medical care, including chiropractic adjustments, without worrying about whether your bills will be reimbursed in a timely manner. This is especially important for auto accident victims. Whether or not you are to blame for a car crash does not matter. Any car accident can cause serious damage to your musculoskeletal system, and immediate treatment is necessary to prevent chronic pain and long-term health problems. For example, some accident victims who sustain whiplash injuries continue to suffer from neck pain, headaches, migraines and other health issues years after the accident occurred. Thanks to no fault benefits, this does not have to happen to you.
